Fiesta Latina

Fiesta Latina is our newer 2 - 4 piece Latin / salsa party production. The standard lineups are vocals + piano for the 2-piece, + cajon for the 3-piece, + trumpet for the 4-piece. The musical direction is vocal-led, encouraging a broad flexibility in the range of repertoire covered which can be anything from salsa and merengue to Bossa Nova to jazz and pop standards performed in a Latin style.
Performance time typically anything up to 135 minutes (2.25 hours)
Divided into sets (2 x 65 / 3 x 45 / 4 x 35)

Fiesta Latina is based in London, but is often required to cover engagements in other areas of the UK. Red & Black Music is therefore looking for freelance vocalists interested in deputising on potential engagements in North England and Scotland, and South West England and Wales.

Location:

• Either Manchester / North West -based for engagements in North England and Scotland
  
• Or Bristol / South West -based to cover potential gigs in South West England and Wales
  

Requirements:

• Ability to sing in English, Spanish and / or Portuguese
• Genuine love of salsa, Bossa Nova and other styles of Latin American music
• Charismatic stage presence
• Confident at engaging with the audience, good chemistry with the band and with the microphone
• Ability to improvise essential

Membership

This is a regional-based position, indicating that successful candidate(s) will receive 1st offers for engagements at the minimum event status Confirmed, in the following areas:

• Manchester / North West -based vocalist: North West England, North East England, Yorkshire and the Humber, Scotland
• Bristol / South West -based vocalist: South West England, Wales

Offers

We can offer you the following minimum* performance fees:

• From £105 per performer (4-piece commercial) / £095 per performer (4-piece charitable)
• From £110 per performer (3-piece commercial) / £100 per performer (3-piece charitable)
• From £115 per performer (2-piece commercial) / £105 per performer (2-piece charitable)

*fees increase by £10 / per +1 zone (distance from either Manchester / M1 or Bristol / BS1). Expenses (transport, accommodation, subsistence) are added on top.
