SE11 Sessions is Tea House Theatre's regular offering of live jazz, soul & funk! Each month a guest vocalist fronts the house band for a themed opening set, with all musicians then encouraged to join the fray for a pumping jam.

SE11 Sessions is back for 2015! It's a new year, but the same formula of good music and good people!

With D'Angelo and The Vanguard's 'Black Messiah' fresh in our ears, this month we're paying tribute to the so-called 'neo-soul' movement. Although resisted by some artists, the label sprang up in the late 1990s / early 2000s to describe the likes of D'Angelo, Erykah Badu and Lauryn Hill hitting the scene.

So, this month expect an opening set, playlist and projected images linked by the above named artists, plus others including Roy Hargrove, Angie Stone and Jill Scott. Whether you want to sing, play or simply watch the night unfold, we hope to see you there!
